Normal use
In normal use you can see an overhead photo view of the current hole with your position shown as a yellow dot.
The tee is at the bottom of the picture and the green is at the top.
The green box on the right shows yardages to the front, middle and back of the green as well as to the "blue dot".
The blue dot is a dot that you can move around by simply touching the screen -
so if you want to know the yardage to a hazard simply touch the hazard and Pocket Caddy will tell you!
Below the yardage box is a list of all the shots you have played on this hole with the distances.

Recording a stroke
When you are about to play a shot you touch the Mark button.
Pocket Caddy will then suggest a club to play.
As you play your round Pocket Caddy will "learn" how far you hit each club and so is able to accurately suggest a club for every shot!
Because each shot is recorded Pocket Caddy keeps a record of every shot that you ever play and can provide amazing statistics and analysis of your game.
Pocket Caddy is the only GPS system that keeps a record of your golf shots, making it the only accurate golf analysis system on the market. If you want to see an example of what can be done with this analysis then have a look at the printout from the PC Analysis system (540kb PDF).

Scorecard
Because Pocket Caddy keeps a record of every shot you can use it as a scorecard as well.
This means that you keep a record of your score every time you play golf - even on occasions when you wouldn't normally.
This has the effect of increasing concentration leading to faster improvement and more consistency.

Club records
Using the accurate GPS measurments Pocket Caddy keeps a track of the distances played with each club.
This will give you the knowledge and confidence to know how far you hit each club and make club selection much easier.
Used over a period of time this will be worth up to 5 strokes off your score as you get to know your game.
It will also provide proof of that 300 yard drive!
